A super moist banana bread with the addition of chocolate chips.
Not wanting to feel guilty about having uneaten bananas sitting on the counter, I will either put them in a freezer bag for smoothies or make this great Chocolate Chip Banana Bread. To bring out the banana flavor in banana bread, you want to use overripe bananas. The result will be a great sweet and moist banana bread.
Sometimes I get that banana bread craving and can only find the green ones. If this happens to you, let me tell you what you need to do. Simply cover a baking sheet with parchment paper. Preheat oven to 250 F, and place the unpeeled bananas on the covered baking sheet. Bake in oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until soft. The banana peels will turn black. When baked, remove from oven, and cool.
Once cooled, they are ready to be used for this super banana bread. I really love the banana and chocolate combination! To change it up, sometimes I will leave out the chocolate chips and substitute with nuts, which is also good.
