Baked Chicken Breast in White Wine Sauce

It only takes about 40 minutes to cook, depending on the thickness of your boneless chicken breast.  This is when I truly love using my ThermoWorks Super-Fast Thermapen.   I have to say that it is one of the best kitchen tools to invest in.   To complete the meal, I simply steamed a bunch of broccoli, and added a side of mashed potatoes to compliment the mouth watering boneless chicken breast!  Chicken Breast in White Wine Sauce 6

Baked Chicken Breast in White Wine Sauce

  • 4 boneless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup chardonnay white wine
  • 4 teaspoons freshly shredded parmesan cheese


  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. In a shallow dish, mix the flour, paprika, garlic salt, and black pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a cast iron skillet.
  4. Coat both sides of the boneless chicken breast, add to skillet and brown both sides.
  5. Pour the chicken broth and white wine into the skillet and bring to a boil.
  6. Remove from heat, and cover tightly with aluminum foil.
  7. Bake for 40 minutes, or until temperature registers 165 degrees.
  8. Remove oven and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Place back in oven for a few minutes to melt cheese.
